Beautiful the moving middle Andante and beautiful fluidity of the cadenzas. Well managed the dialogue with the orchestra always with a good mutual understanding ... All attendance records broken at Suquet.
The last of the "Nuits" was the image of the six previous others, in the good company of the young orchestra "Europa Philharmonie" ... The projectors died out, enchanted, over 28th edition of the "Nuits du Suquet": after beating all records of attendance, 4,000 spectators feasted on the pleasures offered by the artistic direction of Gabriel Tacchino, the good performance of the organization team of the SEMEC, the quality of the pianos "looked after" by Jacques Coquelin ... the public connected idyllically with an orchestra composed of young high level European musicians, the "Europa Philharmonie", who resides and works in Germany under the direction of Reinhard Seehafer. From the start, these very young artists have created a climate of sympathy, so much their pleasure of playing was obvious, so much the pride of their conductor and mentor was visible. Round and melodious strings, singing winds and woods - their conductor has directed some forty operas in Berlin - rhythmic pulsations supplied carefully, their program was the reflection of their extensive repertory ... How well Schubert fits with youth! It’s his Symphony n° 8, known as "La Grande", which the musicians of the Europa Philharmonie and their conductor made us rediscover. Not imposing until in its "divine lengths", like it often is, but visited and inhabited by the grace. A wonder. Then came Beethoven, with the Concerto n° 1 for piano and orchestra. At the piano Maurizio Moretti, concert performer of great talent who could make us dream in the sublime largo and could dominate some suffering in vitality in the rhythmic vitality of the amusing "interlude" that Beethoven left in the last "Allegro". As an encore an excerpt from Borodin’s “Church”, deep and inspired ...

Cervantes in Memoriam 2007
The Italian Maurizio Moretti gave his contribution to the Cervantes in Memoriam 2007, during the recital he performed in the Amadeo Roldán Theater with the interpretation of important pieces of the great virtuous repertoire from the 19th century: Schumann, Liszt and Chopin. Even though some passages may have appeared to us to be somewhat low, Moretti achieved all along his difficult program, excellent music, in Children scenes by Robert Schumann; Nuages gris and Obermann´s valley by Franz Liszt with wonderful dynamic contrasts such as in the Polonesa no. 1, by Chopin, with a high singing line. And that is because Moretti seems to me to be a pianist with very strong holds towards European romanticism, which demonstrated greatly in his imaginative interpretation of the Nocturnal, from the Polish genius. The applauses said goodbye to Moretti with a standing ovation.
